Strong Girl Squad Feb Half Term

Strong Girl Squad was back for February Half Term! We had 15 young girls join us for our sessions it was a fantastic turn out welcoming new girls to the squad and returning girls who have been with us since last summer!

Over the three days we learnt a variety of different lifts, completed workouts, learnt new skills and made PANCAKES!!

We spent time focusing on the choice of words we use for ourselves and towards others, thinking about how important it is to use positive language and words that lift each other up in the times when we most need it. The girls, coaches and our volunteers spent the afternoon creating our strong girl squad board with some wonderful words and phrases to remind us of this. If we could spread love as quickly as we spread hate and negativity, what an amazing world we would live in.

We also had some amazing volunteers join us. Special thanks to Kathy and Lizz from Forest Flow; member Georgia from Create Homes who donated some wonderful Galentines Bags for the girls; Ash one of own Strong Girls and of course member Lesley. We are incredibly grateful for your help and support, the girls loved having you be a part of the sessions and we can’t wait to have you join us again.

I enjoyed coaching the girls how to dead lift and helping them learn the movements. It was good to see everyone get on, work together and see them all have fun during the sessions.
